Hatton Gardens Jewellers

Hatton Gardens

Hatton Gardens is Europe's largest and oldest diamond jewellery district with several hundred goldsmiths working within Hatton Gardens itself and the surrounding area.

Cool Diamonds is located at 16, Greville Street which is the heart of Hatton Gardens district and has been situated in the area since its inception in 1999.

Hatton Gardens is located 100m from Farringdon tube station in London, EC1.

Hatton Gardens was once part of the gardens of the bishop of Ely and was awarded to Sir Christopher Hatton by Queen Elizabeth I in 1581.

The streets around Hatton Gardens have been a hub of the jewellery trade for over 500 years. The first Goldsmiths Hall was opened in 1339 half a mile east of the present Hatton Gardens.

Medieval London had quarters dedicated to different trades and to this day Hatton Gardens is still protected by Camden as a specialist jewellery quarter. Most properties can only be used for the jewellery or diamond trade.

Cool Diamonds services in Hatton Gardens

Cool Diamonds has retained the traditional bespoke diamond jewellery making processes but has added the latest 21st century technology such as microscopes with laser welding capabilities for hitherto impossible to achieve pinpoint accuracy. Along with a state of the art showroom and e-commerce website, Cool Diamonds are paving the way in innovation and creativity in the jewellery industry.

While over the years many of Hatton Gardens jewellers have lost their jewellery designers in various cost cutting exercises, Cool Diamonds has retained its own in-house designer and partnered with style icons such as Jasper Conran, Amelie and Paul Costelloe in designing exclusive, innovative designer jewellery.
